A copper-binding tripeptide studied in selected laboratory models.
A defined complex
GHK is a three-residue peptide that can bind copper(II). In a fibroblast-culture study, investigators examined collagen synthesis in the presence of the GHK-Cu complex. The observation concerns that culture system and its tested material.
Avoid a leap from cells to people
Cell-culture results do not demonstrate that an unrelated vial improves skin, heals a wound or is safe for administration. Copper content, peptide identity and formulation are separate analytical questions. If a material is described as GHK-Cu, its specification should explain the complex being supplied and the method used to verify it.
Keep the evidence at the level of the tested cell model, and ask for batch-specific identity before comparing materials.
