Freeze-dried material still needs evidence for its stated storage conditions.
Dry is not automatically stable
Lyophilisation removes water through a controlled freeze-drying process, but the resulting solid can still change. In a model hexapeptide study, the pH before drying, residual moisture and temperature interacted in determining chemical stability. The specific findings cannot be applied wholesale to every peptide.
Ask for product-specific data
A storage instruction should come from the formulation and its stability evidence, not a generic rule copied from another product. Container closure, excipients and analytical method all affect what a study can establish. A vial photograph reveals none of those details.
Request the exact material's storage specification and its supporting batch or formulation information.
